We know that it takes determination, courage and persistence to achieve your ambitions. That’s why we invest in the development of talented clerks and attorneys – at every stage of their career.
Linklaters welcomes applications from judicial clerks. We have a long tradition of recruiting former judicial clerks who have chosen to become associates as the next step in their careers.
If you’ve recently completed a U.S. federal district or appellate court clerkship, or a clerkship with a state court of last resort or the Delaware Court of Chancery, your acquired skills will be acknowledged. You’ll be given credit for salary and seniority purposes, as well as a competitive one-time bonus when you start work.
Are you prepared to sharpen your skills and develop your abilities? Linklaters boasts some of the most talented individuals practicing law. Our lawyers are determined to deliver results and solutions with commercial judgment and integrity. We do not have unnecessary hierarchies – we all work as a team. Our ‘open door’ culture and emphasis on teamwork create an environment of collaboration throughout the entire firm.
We offer continuous training and opportunities to help our lawyers thrive in a rapidly changing world. Given the nature of our business, many of our lawyers embark on client and interoffice secondments. All have the opportunity for in-person time with their colleagues, whether traveling for work assignments, attending training courses, or participating in firm-sponsored retreats.
We look for people with big ambitions who can make the most of everything Linklaters has to offer: people who will work hard, learn quickly and take responsibility early. You will need analytical intelligence, a high level of attention to detail, and the people skills to work well with both colleagues and clients. Finally, because our client base includes many of the world’s top businesses and institutions, it is important to have a genuine interest in business and the financial world. We look for attorneys who not only service clients, but who also exhibit a high level of commercial awareness in a global context.
